ANTIOCH -- Police serving search warrants this week on five businesses suspected of selling counterfeit goods say they also found a marijuana grow at one of the sites.
Replica Ulysse NardinThe search warrants were issued after police got word that the stores were selling counterfeit clothing, shoes, jewelry and sunglasses in violation of trademark law.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, police Fake Audemars Piguet Watches searched the Dollar Store, Saigon Moon and Above All Fashions, all on Contra Loma Boulevard, as well as S&L Creations on Delta Fair Boulevard and The Fashion Statement on Sunset Drive. About $250,000 in merchandise was seized, and the stores' owners were arrested on suspicion of felony trademark violations.
While police searched The Fashion Statement, they found a marijuana grow in a locked area of the building. While the pot plants had been harvested, investigators found equipment suggesting that a grow had been there.
Further investigation linked the grow to a neighboring hydroponics business called Grow It Yourself, police said. A search warrant was served at that business, where police found marijuana
embroidered patches and three firearms. Three people were arrested in connection with the drugs and weapons.
